Born in Durango, Mexico; father immigrated the family in 1964 to Santa Barbara, California. In California, I worked for the Superintendent of Schools in Santa Barbara and San Jose. I became a Tucson resident in 1980 and have been an employee of UA/BARA since then. I have a son, René who attends Arizona State University, and a daughter Patricia, who is attending the University of Arizona. My interests are: ancient civilizations, traveling, the outdoor activities, knowing people of different cultures, arts and crafts. I have been a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital Front Desk since April 2004.
